After ceasing the work of entry and departure check points of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol due to the spread of coronavirus infection, the number of administrative border crossings in March decreased by 2 times. This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
“As for crossing the administrative border in Kherson region, according to the State Tax Service and the State Fire Service of Ukraine, 84,022 people and 13,986 vehicles crossed it in both directions during March 2020. Compared to February, the number of civilian crossings decreased by – 56.28 %, and the number of vehicle crossings decreased by 51.23%"- the statement says.
It is noted that citizens of Ukraine who live in the temporarily occupied territory travel to Ukraine controlled territory to visit their families, to purchase the necessary goods and to receive services etc.
