Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Liudmyla Denisova held an online meeting with relatives of 26 Crimean Tatars who are illegally detained in the territory of the Russian Federation and temporarily occupied Crimea. She announced this via her Facebook page.

“During communication, they reported that the health of their relatives is deteriorating every day, and in some cases it is critical. The conditions of detention in places of detention are inhuman. They also found that most of the illegally detained Crimean Tatars are subjected to moral and psychological pressure”,- the message claimed.

Denisova noted that it is very important at the moment to have feedback with the families of all prisoners of the Kremlin in order to strengthen communication and quickly respond to all violations of their rights and freedoms.

“I will recommend that all participants in the official Ukrainian side involved in the negotiation process maintain contact with families and inform about their progress as much as possible. I emphasize that all our citizens will be released. We will not leave anyone alone in trouble”,- she added.
