The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the holding of telecommunications companies in the Russian Federation on the tacit receipt of information from Internet users in the occupied Crimea, as well as blocking Ukrainian Internet resources on the peninsula. This was reported by the SBU press service.
“Investigators of the SBU Main Investigation Directorate, together with operatives of the Department of Counterintelligence Protection of State Interests in the field of information security, have exposed the holding of Russian telecommunications companies to tacitly receive information from Internet users in Crimea, as well as blocking Ukrainian Internet resources on the territory of the temporarily occupied peninsula”,- the statement said .
It is noted that as part of the pre-trial investigation launched by SBU investigators under Part 5 of Article 27 and Part 2 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, as well as on the grounds of criminal offenses under Part 3 of Article 110-2 and Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a suspicion was reported to the president, who is now hiding in the United States, and to the ultimate beneficial owner of the Russian holding and a lawyer of a group of television companies.
