The French Embassy in Ukraine condemned the compulsory draft of Crimeans to the Russian army and the ban on foreigners to own land in the occupied peninsula. These actions illustrate a forced integration strategy that contradicts international law. This was reported via the embassy’s Twitter page.
“These two events (compulsory draft and a ban on foreigners to own land in Crimea), adopted by the Russian authorities within several days, perfectly illustrate the strategy of forced integration that Russia implements in Crimea, which is completely contradictory to international law”,- the statement said .
