The mother of political prisoner Teymur Abdullaev Dilyara Abdullaeva said that instead of providing medical assistance, her son in a Russian colony is sent to a punishment cell, and he is under moral and psychological pressure. She wrote about this via her page on Facebook.
“I sound the alarm! Nothing is known about my youngest son Teymur Ablullaev. They want to break my son, to ruin his health. Help! Instead of urgent medical care, which was addressed by the Ombudswoman Liudmyla Denisova to the Russian Ombudswoman Tatyana Moskalkova, instead of medical assistance – punishment cell”,- wrote Abdullaeva.
According to her, her son Teymur arrived in the colony 2 of the city of Salavat on March 7 and was sent to the punishment cell on the second day, and is still being held there.
“The lawyer who visited my son on March 27 informed me the following: he arrived in colony 2, on the second day he was reprimanded, and on March 10 he was expelled to the punishment cell for 7 days for not having made the bed right, then, while in the punishment cell, on March 14, 7 more days of the punishment cell were added because he didn’t say a greeting word during the check-in. He joined the squad on March 24, and on March 25 – 10 more days in the punishment cell we bestowed upon him, and according to all my calculations, the calculations of the mother who does not sleep at night, but sits and considers when her youngest son will leave the punishment cell”,- the woman wrote.
We remind that on October 12, 2016, Russian security forces as a result of mass searches in the village of Strohonivka of Simferopol region detained five representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people – Uzeir Abdullaev, Teymur Abdullaev, Rustem Ismailov, Emil Dzhemadenov and Ayder Saledinov. They were accused of participating in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation. They were charged with article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“organizing the activities of a terrorist organization and participating in it”).
On June 18, 2019, the North Caucasian District Military Court of the Russian Federation sentenced individuals involved in the Simferopol “Hizb ut-Tahrir case”. Teymur Abdullaev was sentenced to 17 years in a maximum security penal colony with a probation of 1 year and 6 months, Rustem Ismailov – to 14 years, Uzeyir Abdullaev – to 13 years, Ayder Saledinov and Emil Dzhemadenov – to 12 years.
On December 24, 2019, the Supreme Court in Moscow reduced the terms of imprisonment of the so-called Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case defendants by 6 months.
