Putin signed a decree on the beginning of the spring draft

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the draft of citizens of the Russian Federation for military service in April-July 2020. According to the decree, the conscription will be conducted from April 1 to July 15 and will apply to citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 27 years who are not in reserve and subject to conscription. The relevant document is published on the legal information portal.

Until July 15, 135 thousand people will be sent to the army.

“From April 1 to July 15, 2020, call up for military service citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 27 years who are not in reverve and subject to conscription, 135 thousand people in total”, – the decree says.

Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus infected people in Russia exceeded 1.8 thousand people. Due to the situation with the coronavirus, 2801 people are under medical supervision in Crimea occupied by the Russian Federation, 62 are in hospitals, and 10 are in observation chambers. In Sevastopol, 2956 people are under the supervision of the coronavirus operational headquarters, of whom 920 are under medical supervision. In hospitals there are 38 people. In total, 20 positive results for Covid-19 were detected in Crimea and Sevastopol.
