The Ukrainian mission to the UN said that Russia, as the occupying country, should inform the international community of measures taken to halt the spread of coronavirus on the peninsula, and in addition, provide full medical assistance to the residents of the Crimea. This was reported via the department’s Twitter page.
“In accordance with the IV Geneva Convention, Russia as an occupying state should provide adequate hygiene and medical assistance to the residents of Crimea. Russia should inform the international community about measures taken to halt the spread of COVID-19 in occupied Crimea”, – the report mentioned.
