“Six years ago, Russia held a fake referendum, trying to justify the illegal occupation of Crimea. Crimea is Ukraine, and the United States will never recognize its illegal occupation by Russia”,- the report said.
Earlier, in a statement by the EU High Representative, Josep Borrel Fontelles, on behalf of the European Union for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the EU’s firm position on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine was also emphasized.
