March 12, 2020

On Friday, March 13, the Lefortovo District Court will consider the petition of the investigator of the Russian Federal Security Service to extend the term of political prisoner Ivan Yatskin, who is accused of allegedly high treason in the form of espionage. This was reported by the lawyer Nikolai Polozov via his Facebook page.

“As the investigator informed me, tomorrow the Lefortovo district court will consider the petition of the investigator of the FSB of Russia for extending the term of detention to Ivan Yatskin. The meeting will be held on Friday March 13 at 09:00”,- the statement said.

We remind that in early December 2019, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea detained a resident of Simferopol, Ivan Yatskin, on charges of allegedly high treason. Subsequently, the man was escorted to Moscow. He was arrested until March 16, 2020. Ivan Yatskin’s lawyer, Nikolai Polozov, signed a non-disclosure agreement on this so-called case.
