On Thursday, March 12, Russian security officials ransacked the house of 67-year-old Crimean Tatar Zera Bezaziieva in the village of Rozdolne in Crimea. This is the second woman’s search in the last three days. It is reported by the Crimean activist Server Bariiev.
“Today at 06:00 6-7 people arrived. I was sleeping, I am a sick person. <…> I am stressed: they come, they search my house, look for weapons. On what grounds are they looking it, I don’t understand. They show some papers, but there is no reason. <…> They searched everything, found nothing and will not find anything. We are not doing this. This is our land”,- said Bezaziieva.
We remind that on March 11, Russian security forces raided the houses of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisaray and the Bakhchisaray district. Searches were conducted in the house of Seitumer Seitumerov, Shukri Seitumerov, Amet Suleymanov, Seidamet Mustafayev, Rustem Seitmemetov, Ayder Suleymanov and Seitumer Seitumerov. The activists were detained. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly protested the fact of the next wave of illegal searches and detentions of the Crimean Tatars. Four detained Crimean Tatars are accused of participating in the organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is recognized as terrorist in Russia.
