The defendant in the second Bakhchysarai “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” Marlen Asanov suffers from kidney disease and varicose veins. He applied for examination and treatment but was denied the testing. This was reported by Krym.Realii with reference to his lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.
“At the court hearing, Marlen Asanov informed me that he experienced problems with kidneys and varicose veins. Afraid of complications, Marlen applied for examination and treatment. He was examined by a paramedic and prescribed medications, but he was denied the testing. Marlen suspects the prescribed medicines may harm his health, so he hesitates whether to take them. In my opinion, they intentionally deny him testing, because if the tests confirm he has a disease, he will have to be taken out of the pre-trial detention center for examination," the lawyer said.
