The so-called Yalta Hizb ut-Tahrir case defendants – Vadim Siruk, Emir-Huseyn Kuku and Muslim Aliev – were placed in a special unit. The reasons for the tightening of the detention regime are unknown. This is stated in a letter from the political prisoner Siruk to his wife, Crimean Solidarity reports.
It is noted that the letter was sent on December 25, 2019, and it arrived on January 9, 2020.
"Everything is fine with me, Alhamdulillah, I’m alive and well. They transferred me, Emir-Huseyn and Muslim ağa to the detention center № 3 in Novocherkassk. I don’t know about the rest. We are placed in solitary confinement in a special unit. Wilderness and silence”, – wrote Siruk.
We remind that Emir-Huseyn Kuku , Vadim Siruk , Muslim Aliev, Enver Bekirov, Arsen Dzhepparov and Refat Alimov are accused of their membership in Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation. Later they began to impute Art. 278 of the Criminal Code ("Forced seizure of power or forcible retention of power"). On October 11, during a debate in the Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don, the prosecutor requested 13 to 20 years of imprisonment for the individuals involved in the so-calledYalta Hizb ut-Tahrir case. On November 12, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict.
