The so-called court of occupied Crimea arrested a resident of Simferopol Denys Kashuk for two months

December 20, 2019

On Friday, December 20, the so-called Kyiv District Court of occupied Crimea arrested a resident of Simferopol Denys Kashuk for two months – until February 18, 2020. The man is suspected of “storing explosives and ammunition.” This was reported by the Graty project.

It is noted that Kashuk refused the services of independent lawyers, but his mother persuaded him not to do this.

“I want everything to be quick. I want everything to end quickly. This is my position, my choice. The main thing is that you do not suffer, that no one is hurt. Everyone can suffer. I signed everything, I admitted everything. Please, the most important thing is that nothing happens to you. Nobody will free us. Therefore, I chose the most correct thing to ensure that no one is hurt”,- Kashuk replied to his relatives.

At the request of Kashuk, the so-called process was closed, during which he nevertheless did not refuse independent lawyer Nazim Sheikhmamebtov.

“It seemed to me that he was very scared. I saw redness on his face, but I can’t say for sure whether these are signs of physical impact or not. He was very excited and alarmed”,- the lawyer said.

We remind that on December 17, in occupied Crimea, a resident of Simferopol Denys Kashuk disappeared. The next day, a search of his house was conducted, and FSB officers claimed that Kashuk had been detained because he was suspected of “making explosives”.
