Body of Previously Missing Crimean Tatar Found in Occupied Crimea

The body of Ridvan Liumanov, who went missing on October 19, was found near Simferopol. The man’s face was mutilated, his documents were with him. This was announced by activist Elmaz Kyrymly on her Facebook page.

The funeral (genase) will be held today, November 6, in the village of Alekseevka.

"The body of our missing compatriot was found near Simferopol, his documents were with him, his face was mutilated … Who did it and what really happened is unknown at the moment. The results of the examination will be known in a month," the activist wrote.

The disappearance of Liumanov Ridvan Rizayevich on October 31 was reported by the search and rescue squad Liza Alert.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center expresses its deepest condolences to Ridvan’s family. Allah rahmet eylesin.

Previously, on September 16, 2019, a 20-year-old Crimean Tatar Einar Eyupov, who disappeared in August 2018, was found dead in the forest near the village of Zalesnoye, Bakhchysarai district.

On July 11, 2019, the body of Fakhri Mustafayev, who disappeared on July 10, was found in the village of Aromatnoye of Bakhchysarai district.

On July 9, 2019, after a storm, the body of a man with a weight tied to his neck was carried ashore on a beach in the village of Nikolaevka, Simferopol district. He was recognized as a  61-year-old Crimean Tatar Rashid Yagyaev, who disappeared in the occupied Crimea in April 2019.
