318 prosecuted in criminal «cases» registered during the occupation period of Crimea – CTRC

According to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, 318 political prisoners prosecuted in criminal «cases» have been registered during the occupation of Crimea , 216 of them are the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. More detailed information about the Kremlin prisoners can be obtained from the clickable chart «Victims of the occupation of Crimea», which is updated on a regular basis on the CTRC website.

According to the CTRC, this category consists of 5 categories depending on the status of the persecuted:

– Sentenced and serve terms in colonies (150, 99 are Crimean Tatars);

– have restrictions or on probation (36, 21 – Crimean Tatars);

– in pre-trial detention facilities (44, 35 – Crimean Tatars);

– released (55, 34 – Crimean Tatars);

– persecuted (33, 27 – Crimean Tatars).
