The figurant of the “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” Bilyal Adilov ends a dry hunger strike

A political prisoner, the defendant in the second Simferopol “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” Bilyal Adilov, who had previously gone on a hunger strike in connection with the conditions of his stay in jail No. 1 of Rostov-on-Don, ended the hunger strike in connection with the fulfillment of his requirements: he was transferred to a cell with acceptable conditions . This was reported by the journalist Anton Naumliuk.

According to the journalist, Adilov himself feels better, but a respiratory disease, due to which he was suffocating and could not be in the cell, requires medical intervention. Our primary task is to achieve a complete medical examination and quality treatment, by all means permitted by law,” said lawyer Lyudmila Tyurenkova, who visited Adilov in the detention facility.

Recall that on March 27, Russian security forces in occupied Crimea carried out mass searches in 26 houses of Crimean Tatars. Some activists were seized literature, which, according to Crimean Solidarity initiative, the security forces planted themselves. In addition to books and brochures, people were confiscated phones, tablets, laptops, passports. The law enforcers behaved rudely. It is reported that they applied physical force against detainees. They got into the houses in shoes. The lawyers who arrived at the site of the searches were not allowed to the detainees. As a result, 20 people suspected of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir , which is banned in the Russian Federation were detained. On March 28, three more Crimean Tatar activists were detained, whose households were searched in their absence. The whereabouts of yet another Crimean Tatar – Edem Yayachikov – remains unknown. On March 27-28, the occupation court arrested all 23 detained after the searches Crimean Tatar activists. They  were chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention until May 15. Everyone is accused of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation. In August, the court hearings are held on extention the preventive measure to the defendants in the second Simferopol “Hizb ut-Tahrir case”. They are left in custody until November 14-15, 2019.
