In Crimea Forty-one Political Prisoners Convicted to Prison Sentences – Crimean Tatar Resource Center (Full list)

Following the occupation of Crimea, the Russian Federation started a surge of mass detentions and arrests on the peninsula. In most cases, they persecute people with nonconformist thinking and those disagreeing with the unlawful Russian occupation. According to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, presently ninety-four people are detained on the territory of Crimea and Russian Federation. Forty-one out of ninety-four arrested are convicted to prison sentences in Crimea and Russia. Besides, twelve more are put on probation.

Forty-one out of ninety-four serve time in Crimean and Russian prisons:

  1. Defendants of “Crimean case” – Oleg Sentsov, Olexandr Kolchenko,Oleksiy Chyrniy.
  2. Defendants of Sevastopol “Hizb-ut-Tahrir case” – Ruslan Zeytullaev, Rustem Vaitov, Ferat Sayfullaev and Nuri Primov.
  3. Defendants of Simferopol “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” – Teymur Abdullaev, Uzeir Abdullaev, Ayder Saledinov, Rustem Ismailov and Emil Dzhemadenov.
  4. Defendants of Bakhchysarai “Hizb-ut-Tahrir case” – Enver Mamutov, Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov and Rustem Abiltarov.
  5. Defendants of “Tablighi Jamaat case” – Renat Suleimanov.
  6. Defendants of “Ukrainian saboteurs case” – Yevheniy Panov, Andrey Zakhtey, Leonid Parkhomenko, Oleksiy Stogniy, Gleb Shabliy, Vladimir Dudka, Oleksiy Bessarabov,  Dmitriy Shtyblikov, Vladimir Prisich, Hennadiy Limeshko.
  7. Defendants of “Noman Chelebidzihan battalion case” – Fevzi Sagandzhi, Edem Kadyrov.
  8. Individual/other cases – Andrey Kolomiets,Nikolai Shiptur, Valentyn Vyhivsky, Yunus Masharipov, Maksim Filatov, Dmitriy Dolgopolov, Anna Sukhonosova, Konstantin Davydenko, Vladimir Balukh, Yevheniy Karakashaev, Maksim Sokurenko, Abduraman Abduveliev.

Besides, twelve more people are put on probation:

  1. Defendants of “26 February case” –  Ali Asanov and Mustafa Dehermendzhi.
  2. Defendants of “Tablighi Jamaat case” – Talyat Abdurakhmanov, Seyran Mustafayev, and Arsen Kubedinov.
  3. Defendants of “Vedzhie Kashka case” – Asan Chapukh, Bekir Dehermendzhi, Ruslan Trubach and Kyazim Amietov.
  4. Individual/other cases – Valeriy Bolshakov, Mykola Semena and Suleyman Kadyrov.

Crimean Tatar Resource Center proclaims court decisions in the occupied Crimea and Russia to be unlawful, politically motivated and criminal.

Crimean Tatar Resource Center demands the nullification of convictions and an immediate release of all political prisoners.

Crimean Tatar Resource Center calls the international community and human rights organization to increase pressure on Russian and occupational authorities in Crimea to stop political persecutions and annul previous court rulings.
