The Crimean Tatars, arrested during the protests on Red Square in Moscow, are invited to “talk” to the “police” in Crimea, reports the lawyer, Nazim Sheyhmambetov, on his Facebook page.
"Despite the fact that Moscow colleagues of the Crimean law enforcement agencies have already had the honor of such a conversation during the preparation of procedural documents, the latter, nevertheless, are persistently trying to communicate with Crimeans. Evidently, they do not trust their colleagues in Moscow," the statement says.
The lawyer states that there is a court hearing planned in Moscow to review administrative protocols, so there is no need to repeat the procedural acts in this case.
“Urgent recommendation – according to the current legislation, citizen has a right to reject any conversation or explanation. Demand the official subpoena that would clearly state who summons you, when, where, in what capacity and in what case” – Nazim Sheyhmambetov stresses.
On July 10, Crimean Tatar activists organized a protest on the Red Square in Moscow against the prosecutions in the occupied Crimea. The posters carried by activists said “Stop ethnic and religious discrimination”, “Fight with terrorism in Crimea is a fight with dissidents”, “Our children are not terrorists”. Right after the beginning of the protest, seven people were arrested by Russian police forces. On July 11, forty-six more people were arrested near the Supreme Court, where the appeal proceeding was carried out with regard to the defendants in the Bakhchysarai ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir’ case.
