Now, according to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, 150 political prisoners of Crimea are serving their sentences in Russian colonies.
We remind you that a total of 305 political prisoners and those prosecuted in criminal cases were recorded during the occupation of Crimea, 205 of them were representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. According to the CTRC, this category consists of 5 components depending on the status of the persecuted:
– sentenced and serve terms in colonies (150, 99 – Crimean Tatars);
– have restrictions or on probation (34, 20 – Crimean Tatars);
– in a pre-trial detention facilities (34, 25 – Crimean Tatars);
– released (54, 34 – Crimean Tatars);
– persecuted (33, 27 – Crimean Tatars).
