131 arrests recorded in the occupied Crimea in 9 months of 2024 – CTRC

In the first 9 months of 2024, 131 cases of arrests were recorded,  60 of which were against the representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. In the same period of 2023, 182 (122) were recorded, and in 2022 – 138 (104).
Oot of 131 cases: 42 – new arrests, 38 – sentences, 11 – adminarests, 40 – extension of detention.
We would like to remind that  that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center presented the Analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea for 9 months of 2024. According to the organisation, 59 searches, 91 detentions/arrests and 89 cases of interrogations, interviews and ‘conversations’ were recorded during the reporting period. The total number of arrests for the first 9 months of 2024 is 131. There are 40 known cases of breaches of the right to a high attainable standard of physical and mental health.
