It became known that on June 28, a civic journalist and an activist of the Crimean Solidarity, Nariman Memediminov, without the decision of the court, based only on the investigator’s decision, was forcibly placed in a hospital to undergo a psychiatric examination. He will spend at least 20 days in the hospital. This is reported by the “Crimean Solidarity” with reference to the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.
"According to the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov, it became known that without the decision of the court based solely on the investigator's decision, on June 28, 2018, a civil journalist and an activist Nariman Memediminov was placed in a psychiatric hospital for "psychiatric assessment", – reorted activists.
The Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov regards this fact as a gross violation of his client's rights and pressure for his principled position.
As reported on March 22 Russian "security officers" conducted a search in the house of the activist of the "Crimean Solidarity", a civic journalist Nariman Memediminov in the village Kholmovka of Bakhchysarai district. According to his wife, the search was conducted in a rude form, the security officers broke down the front door and used foul language. Memediminov was detained on suspicion of public calls to carry out terrorist activities. On May 15, the Kiev district court of Simferopol extended his arrest until August 15.
