The chairman of the permanent Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Volodymyr Ariev, said that he managed to convince the PACE Bureau to hold the debate on Ukrainian political prisoners during the summer session of the assembly. "I managed to convince the PACE Bureau!" The debate on the Ukrainian hostages of the Kremlin will be held in Strasbourg on Thursday morning", – Ariev wrote on his Facebook page.
On June 25-29 in Strasbourg (France) the summer session of the PACE will take place.
On June 14, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for the release of Oleg Sentsov and other political prisoners in Russia. 485 Euro-deputies have voted for the corresponding decision.
