The defendants in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case have been illegally detained for a year

A year ago, on March 11, 2020, Russian security forces raided the houses of the Crimean Tatars in Bakhchysarai and the Bakhchysarai district. As a result, 4 people were detained on suspicion of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation – Amet Suleymanov, Osman Seytumerov, Seytumer Seytumerov and Rustem Seitememetov. They have been illegally detained for a year now.

We remind that on March 11, 2020, Russian security forces raided the homes of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisaray and the Bakhchisaray district. Searches were carried out in the house of Seytumer Seytumerov, Shukri Seytumerov, Amet Suleymanov, Seydamet Mustafayev, Rustem Seitmemetov, Ayder Suleymanov and Seytumer Seytumerov. The activists were detained. On March 12, the so-called Kyiv District Court of Simferopol sent Amet Suleymanov under house arrest. On March 13, the so-called Kyiv District Court chose a measure of restraint for the defendants in the so-called third Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case – Osman Seytumerov, Seytumer Seytumerov and Rustem Seitememetov in the form of detention.
