Some believe in the tale of Russian aggression – Polyansky at the UN

February 24, 2021

On Tuesday, February 23, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky, during a debate on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in the UN General Assembly, said that “some believe in the tale of Russian aggression”, but in his words, “sooner or later the inconvenient truth will come out.”

“Some believe in the tale of Russian aggression, but sooner or later the inconvenient truth about the Maidan protests in 2014 will emerge. It is much easier to mislead everyone, as the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine recently did, saying, contrary to the facts, that there are 7,000 servicemen in the Donbas from the Russian Federation”,- he said.

Polyansky said that the people of Crimea have the right to self-determination and that millions of Ukrainians continue to visit the peninsula for vacation, leaving positive reviews on social networks.
