On the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine, sanctions were imposed against the Moldovan and Portuguese airlines due to illegal flights to the occupied Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the department.

“Based on the violations identified, the Security Service recommended the NSDC to apply such sanctions to these companies as: suspension of the fulfillment of financial and economic obligations, complete cessation of the transit of resources, flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine, blocking of assets”,- the message said.

It is noted that the sanctions should be in effect until the end of the occupation of Crimea or before the entry into force of the decision of the European Court of Human Rights on the claim of Ukraine against Russia for damages in connection with the annexation of the peninsula.
