FSB RF claims that it detained Crimeans for justifying terrorism in social networks

The FSB of Russia claims that it detained two Crimeans for justifying terrorism on social networks. Searches were carried out at the place of residence of the detainees, telephones and laptops were seized. The press service of the department reported about this.

“The FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, on suspicion of publicly justifying terrorism on the Internet, detained two residents of Sevastopol and Yalta. It was established that men born in 1980 and 1977, using accounts with fictitious names for conspiracy, posted materials on social networks justifying the terrorist activity”,- the message said.

Searches were carried out at the place of residence of the detainees, telephones and laptops were seized. Criminal cases were initiated against these persons on the basis of corpus delicti under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia (public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism committed using the Internet).
