Remind: on October 12, 2016, the Russian security officers as a result of mass searches in the village Strogonovka of Simferopol district detained five representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people – Uzeir Abdullaev, Teymur Abdullaev, Rustem Ismailov, Emil Dzhemadenov and Ayder Saledinov.<\/p>\n

They were accused of involvement in the activities of the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir", banned on the territory of the Russian Federation. They are charged with Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("organization of activities of a terrorist organization and participation in it"). They have been illegally detained for over a year.
\nOn December 8, the Supreme "court" of Crimea extended the detention period  to the figurants of Simferopol "Hizb ut-Tahrir case" until February 11.
\nThe Crimean Tatar Resource Center calls on the international community, international human rights organizations to increase pressure on the Russian Federation and the occupation authorities of Crimea in order to stop political persecution and cancel earlier made decisions.
