"Military commissariats of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol in military units deployed outside the peninsula, sent more than 600 people,  half of them – to the troops of the Southern Military District ", – reads the message of the website. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Representatives of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center more than once noted on the  international platforms  that the legal status of Crimeans is regulated by the IV Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilians, namely Article 51, which states that the occupying state can not force Crimeans to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces. Any pressure or propaganda in favor of voluntary admission into the army is prohibited.<\/div>\n

Also, in accordance with Article 30 of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, military activities can not be carried out without agreement with the indigenous people on their territory.<\/div>\n
