"My two sisters and father-in-law came for interrogation (my parents did not because of their state of health). They were summoned for questioning because of my human rights activities and civil position. I am unaware of the details of the interrogation, as I was not informed, most likely, due to the fact that the non-disclosure statements had to be signed,” human rights defender stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In addition, Eskender Bariiev made a statement that the FSB exerted pressure on his relatives with the aim of creating obstacles to his human rights activities and was trying to take control of communication ties with his close relatives, making them its hostages.<\/p>\n

On December 21, it was reported that summons to an interrogation by the FSB investigator were handed in to the parents and close relatives of Eskender Bariiev.
