The occupiers have added a 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen Rustem Fakhriev to Rosfinmonitoring’s list of \u201cterrorists and extremists\u201d and are illegally holding him in a detention center on fabricated charges of allegedly plotting an assassination attempt on a Russian officer in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by Russian propaganda media.<\/p>\n

The occupying security forces have made unsubstantiated claims about his \u201cinvolvement\u201d with the Ukrainian special services and have charged him with \u201caiding terrorist activities\u201d under Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Russian propaganda media reported on the alleged \u201celimination\u201d of a person during his detention, as well as on the detention of the so-called \u201caccomplice of the organizer of the crime,\u201d against whom a criminal case was opened under the article on \u201cfacilitating terrorist activity.\u201d These reports probably referred to Rustem Fakhriev.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Eskender Bariiev, Chairman of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, stated that such reports appear to be staged and may indicate a premeditated murder aimed at intimidating the residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
