In the first quarter of 2025, at least 17 cases of violations of the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health were recorded in the occupied Crimea, 12 of which concerned representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. During the same period in 2024, 13 such cases were recorded, and in 2023 – 10 cases. This is stated in the Analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea for the first quarter of 2025 by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.<\/p>\n

During the reporting period, human rights violations were recorded, in particular against persons with disabilities. Thus, in the case of Oleksandr Sizikov, who has a disability related to visual impairment, two cases of improper provision of his right to proper medical care were recorded. Violations were also recorded against other vulnerable groups, including women, such as Crimean political prisoner Iryna Danylovych.<\/p>\n

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center condemns such actions and demands that the Russian Federation provide proper medical care to all illegally detained persons, as well as immediately release all prisoners of the Kremlin. We emphasize that the tendency of denial of medical care by the occupation \u201cauthorities\u201d is increasing, as more and more political prisoners are subjected to various forms of torture and inhuman treatment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
