\nFirst Deputy Chairman of\u00a0 Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People
\nNariman Dzhelial expressed his opinion on the international
\nrecognition of the deportation of Crimean Tatars as an act of
\ngenocide.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe that the time will come when the situation in Russia itself <\/em>will change, and we will make efforts to do so, and the Russian <\/em>authorities will be held accountable. I hope that the president of the <\/em>current Russian Federation will be brought to justice. Of course, we <\/em>cannot wait for that time – we have to make decisions today, and the <\/em>appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to all international <\/em>parliaments to recognize the deportation as genocide is one of the<\/em>
\ntools we have to implement,\u201d<\/em> – Nariman said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people also
\nfully agreed with the opinion of Eskender Bariiev, Chairman of the
\nBoard of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, that the deportation and
\npunishment has not yet received its logical conclusion.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed, it is necessary to put an end to it. The perpetrators must be
\nbrought to justice. After all, you see that Russia is repeating
\neverything it has done before, and to prevent this, it is necessary to
\nfinalize this issue and recognize the truth both for ourselves and for
\nthe whole world,\u201d – emphasized Nariman Dzhelial.<\/p>\n

Taking this opportunity, Dzhelial also addressed the members of the
