On October 22, it became known that at the request of the \u201cMinistry of
\nJustice\u201d of Crimea, the occupation \u201ccourt\u201d decided to liquidate the
\nindependent Muslim community of Alushta. This was reported by lawyer
\nRustem Kamilev in a comment to Crimean Solidarity.<\/p>\n
The lawsuit was based on the fact that the community allegedly
\nuntimely expelled from its ranks its former leaders, Lenur Khalilov
\nand Ruslan Mesutov, who were convicted of participating in Hizb
\nut-Tahrir. The Ministry of Justice also demanded the expulsion of
\nRuslan Emirvaliyev, who was accused of \u201cpropagating extremist
\nsymbols\u201d. Representatives of the department noted that this became
\npossible only after an official warning.<\/p>\n
In addition, the lawyer said that the community was accused of
\n\u201cdisseminating extremist materials\u201d after searches in the Yukary-Dzhami
\nmosque, when books were seized, which led to a fine of 100 thousand
\nrubles.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe claimed that the persecution of the Alushta religious community is
\na violation of the International Covenant on Human Rights to freedom
\nof religion. However, the ‘court’ was not interested in this,\u201d – said
\nKamilev.<\/p>\n
He also emphasized that the decision of the occupation \u201ccourt\u201d will be
\nappealed to the ECHR and the UN Human Rights Committee, as he believes
\nthat the community was liquidated by order of the
