Civil journalist and activist Remzi Bekirov has been continuously held in a SHIZO in Abakan, Republic of Khakassia, for almost a month. This was told to \u2018Crimean Solidarity\u2019 by his wife Khalide Bekirova.<\/p>\n

<\/span>It is noted that she also learned that Remzi Bekirov was placed in a quarantine cell on 12 August, but he did not even have time to serve his sentence there, as the political prisoner was sent to the SHIZO for five days. Later, Bekirov was extended another five days in the SHIZO due to the fact that he did not give his personal details to the colony management. After that, the Crimean political prisoner was able to return to the quarantine cell only for half a day, but did not say hello to the colony staff and did not provide his personal details, because of which a protocol was drawn up on him. As a result, Remzi Bekirov was kept in the SHIZO for another eight days.<\/p>\n

Mrs Khalide also added: \u2018After a few days, the political prisoner was allowed to stay in the general cell, but on 6 September he received 10 days of arrest for violating the daily routine – at night he \u2018left his bed to pray\u2019.\u2019 For the sixth time, the activist has not yet been sent to a SHIZO, but he again failed to provide personal data to the colony’s management, and an application has already been filed against him.\u2019<\/p>\n

<\/span>\u2018He is the first Crimean political prisoner to be held in this colony. He is under close control and moral pressure. But all these claims are not grounds for sending him to the SHIZO. We do not receive any messages from him, as he can not write letters or call,\u2019 – she added.<\/p>\n

We will remind, on 27 March 2019, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea conducted searches in 26 houses of the Crimean Tatars. As a result, 20 people were detained on suspicion of involvement in the\u00a0 activities of \u2018Hizb ut-Tahrir\u2019 organisation banned in rf. In this connection, the arrests of political prisoners were repeatedly extended, and some of them have already been sentenced. Thus, the Russian court sentenced Remzi Bekirov to 19 years in prison.
