People regardless of age and gender are subjected to repression: men, women, young and old, as well as minors.<\/p>\n<p>As we know, young people in Ukraine have always been the engine of change, who have defended and are now defending the values of democracy and freedom, including in occupied Crimea. Unfortunately, young people are subjected to terrible repressions on the peninsula for their active civic position.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre, 23 young people have been subjected to political persecution by the occupation authorities, 19 of whom are representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, namely:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Appaz Kurtamet, 21 years old<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The guy was detained in July 2022 in Novoalekseevka, and on 21 April 2023 he was sentenced to 7 years in prison for lending 500 hryvnias to his acquaintance from the Crimean Battalion.<\/p>\n<p>2.Bohdan Ziza, 29 years old<\/p>\n<p>The guy was accused of violating Article 30 part 3 of the Russian Criminal Code (attempted crime) and Article 167 part 2 (intentional destruction or damage to other people&#8217;s property&#8230;) for painting the building of the occupation administration of the city of Yevpatoria with the colours of the Ukrainian state flag. A Russian military court sentenced him to 15 years in a general regime colony<\/p>\n<p>3. Lenie Umerova, 26 years old<\/p>\n<p>A Crimean Tatar woman was illegally held in captivity for more than 5 months for spurious reasons and eventually arrested on suspicion of \u2018high treason\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>4. Andriy Kolomiets, 31 years old<\/p>\n<p>The guy was sentenced in the summer of 2016 to 10 years in prison for allegedly attempting to assassinate Crimean \u2018Berkut\u2019 officers in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>5. Asan Akhtemov, 35 years old<\/p>\n<p>Was detained on 3 September 2021 on charges of blowing up a gas pipeline in the village of Perevalnoye. On 21 September 2022, Asan Akhtemov was awarded 15 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>6. Dilyaver Gafarov, 28 years old<\/p>\n<p>On 28 August 2019, the occupiers sentenced Dilyaver Gafarov to 10 years in prison for participation in the Noman Chelebidzhikhan volunteer battalion.<\/p>\n<p>7. Eskender Abdulganiev, 27 years old<\/p>\n<p>On 3 November 2020, Eskender Abdulganiev was sentenced to 12 years\u2018 imprisonment for violating Article 205.5(2) of the Russian Criminal Code (\u2019participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation&#8221;). He was accused of allegedly participating in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.<\/p>\n<p>8. Aziz Akhtemov, 28 years old<\/p>\n<p>The guy was detained on 3 September 2021 on charges of blowing up a gas pipeline in the village of Perevalnoe. On 21 September 2022, Aziz Akhtemov was sentenced to 13 years&#8217; imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>9. Alim Karimov, 30 years old<\/p>\n<p>On 11 January 2023, Alim Karimov was sentenced to 12 years\u2018 imprisonment for violating Article 205.5(2) of the Criminal Code (\u2019participation in the activities of a terrorist organization&#8221;). He was accused of allegedly participating in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. .<\/p>\n<div>10. Arsen Dzhepparov, 33 years old<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy has already served his sentence of 7 years&#8217; imprisonment in the Republic of Bashkortostan. He was charged under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (\u2018Organisation of activities of a terrorist organisation and participation in it\u2019) and Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (\u2018Forcible seizure of power or forcible retention of power\u2019). He was accused of allegedly participating\u00a0 in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.That is, he was detained at the age of 25.<\/p>\n<p>11. Albert Kruglov, 24 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained in Alushta and accused of \u2018participation in the activities of a terrorist organization\u2019 and \u2018preparation for state treason\u2019. The occupiers sentenced him to 8 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>12. Enver Krosh, 33 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained on 11 August 2022. He was accused of allegedly participating\u00a0 in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.<\/p>\n<p>13. Artur Memetshaev, 34 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained on 18 April 2022 in Genichesk. On 17 October 2022, the occupants sentenced Artur Memetshaev to 6.5 years in prison for participation in the volunteer battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan.<\/p>\n<p>14. Arsen Memetshaev, 28 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained and sentenced to 5 years in prison for participation in the volunteer battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan.<\/p>\n<p>15. Ablyamed Memetshaev, 25 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nThe guy was detained and sentenced to 5 years in prison for participation in the volunteer battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan.<\/p>\n<p>16. Kirill Barannik, 26 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained on 30 May 2023 on the embankment in occupied Simferopol. Accused of illegal possession of weapons (Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).<\/p>\n<p>17. Abdulmedzhit Seitumerov, 24 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained on 25 August 2023 in Crimea. He was accused of allegedly participating\u00a0 in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.<\/p>\n<p>18. Ayder Asanov, 31 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained on 24 January 2023 in Crimea. He was accused of allegedly participating\u00a0 in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>19. Amethan Abdulvapov, 35 years old<\/div>\n<div>\nThe guy was detained on 9 February 2023 in Crimea. He was accused of allegedly participating\u00a0 in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.<\/p>\n<p>20. Alim Sufyanov, 34 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nThe guy was detained on 7 July 2020 in Crimea. He was accused of allegedly participating in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.\u00a0 .<\/p>\n<p>21. Osman Seytumerov, 31 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nThe guy was detained on 11 March 2020 in Crimea. He was accused of allegedly participating\u00a0 in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization\u00a0 and has already been sentenced to 14 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>22. Raim Ayvazov, 30 years old<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\nThe guy was detained on 17 April 2019 in Crimea. He was accused of allegedly participating\u00a0\u00a0 in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization\u00a0 and has already been sentenced to 17 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>23. Refat Alimov, 33<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The guy was detained on 18 April 2016 in Crimea. He was accused of allegedly participating in the activities of\u00a0 Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. He has already served his sentence of 7 years in prison.<\/div>\n<div>\nThe Crimean Tatar Resource Centre considers these actions of the occupants as a gross violation of the norms of international law, which prohibit the application of occupation legislation in the occupied territories.<\/p>\n<p>We consider these persecutions illegal, politically motivated and criminal. This policy of the occupiers is aimed at intimidation to force proactive youth to leave the peninsula.<\/p>\n<p>The Crimean Tatar Resource Centre strongly protests and demands the immediate release of all political prisoners and bringing to justice those involved in the persecution of Ukrainian citizens.<\/p>\n<p>PS According to the Law of Ukraine \u2018On Promotion of Social Formation and Development of Youth in Ukraine\u2019, youth are considered to be citizens between the age of 14 and 35.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No one is spared in occupied Crimea.
