This was reported by a local resident in the commentary \u2018Suspilne Crimea\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>It is known that the platform stopped working completely in the morning of 8 August. The day before, according to him, YouTube opened, but the videos were downloaded only after switching on the VPN.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier\u00a0 the Crimean branch of the international movement for the deoccupation of Crimea #Liberatecrimea \u2018Suspilne Crimea\u2019 said that the number of Crimeans who download VPN services\u00a0 to continue to use YouTube &#8211; is increasing.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018According to our observations, even the blocking of such popular social networks as Facebook and Instagram by the Russian occupation authorities in Crimea has not caused anywhere near the number of Crimeans who start using VPNs as it happened after YouTube slowdown.
