On May 30-31, the second Forum \u201cUkrainian Cultural Heritage: #Act for Heritage\u201d was held in Kyiv, which was attended by more than 100 people from different parts of Ukraine and foreign experts.
\nEskender Bariiev, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, and Tatiana Savchuk, Communications Manager of the CTRC, also joined the Forum.<\/p>\n
The organizers of this event sought to create a platform for dialogue and monitoring in the field of preservation and protection of Ukraine’s cultural heritage with the participation of civil society, government, cultural community and international donor organizations. The current event focused on linking cultural heritage with security and education.
\nDuring the panel discussions, participants discussed the following topics:<\/p>\n
– \u201cCultural heritage as a component of national and European security strategy\u201d<\/p>\n
– \u201cThe war for heritage\u201d<\/p>\n
– \u201cThe law: protection or obstacle\u201d<\/p>\n
– \u201cDigitization in the field of cultural heritage\u201d<\/p>\n
– \u201cEducation and cultural heritage\u201d.<\/p>\n
– \u201cInstitutionalization of private collections and their interaction with the public sector\u201d, etc.<\/p>\n
In addition, a presentation of RES-POL analytics on cultural heritage policy was held. RES-POL project experts held 5 round tables to discuss strategic directions for working on key problems and significant issues in such areas as:<\/p>\n
– \u201cMovable Heritage\u201d.<\/p>\n
– \u201cHeritage not subordinated to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy\u201d<\/p>\n
– \u201cImmovable heritage\u201d<\/p>\n
– \u201cIntangible heritage, problems of glossary and methodology in the field of intangible cultural heritage\u201d<\/p>\n
– \u201cMemorialization\u201d<\/p>\n
The Forum also presented the exhibition \u201cMiniature Ukraine\u201d, which shows 3D-printed models of outstanding Ukrainian cultural and historical monuments. Including those that suffered as a result of Russian aggression.<\/p>\n
