Political prisoner Tofik Abdulgaziev has been in touch with his family for the first time since his hospitalization. This was reported by his wife Alie via her Facebook page.<\/p>\n

According to Alie, she had not received any news about her husband’s health for a long time.<\/p>\n

“On Monday I finally managed to talk to Olga Anvarovna Angolt, a doctor at the prison hospital in Chelyabinsk where my husband is. According to the doctor, Tofik is feeling better – the dynamics of treatment is positive, he has an appetite and has put on 4 kilograms of weight. We discussed with her further treatment, and it will be long and he will have to stay in the hospital for more than one or two months,” she said.<\/p>\n

The same day she received a video call from Tofik via Zonatelecom.<\/p>\n

“Since the last time I saw him in the hospital on a short-term date, Tofik has changed considerably. His gaze is more focused, more “alive”. The man told me that he had gained four kilograms in weight. I could already see it in his cheeks, which were beginning to take on a human shape. Although Tofik said he was feeling better, his speech was still somewhat “sluggish. In spite of this, he was still making jokes and giving me moral support. When I asked him if it was true that everything was fine, the man replied, “Yes,”- she explains.<\/p>\n

Now the political prisoner is worried about his stomach, because it cannot digest heavy food and therefore hurts.<\/p>\n

Abdulgaziev is kept in a solitary cell-type ward.<\/p><\/div>\n

We’ll remind you that on March 27, 2019, Russian law enforcers in the occupied Crimea conducted mass searches in 26 houses of Crimean Tatars.
\nSome activists had literature seized, which, according to Crimean Solidarity, the law enforcers themselves planted. In addition to books and brochures, people were confiscated phones, tablets, laptops and passports. The law enforcers behaved rudely.<\/p>\n

It is reported that they used physical force against the detainees. They entered the houses with shoes on. Lawyers, who came to the place of searches, were not allowed to the defendants. As a result, 20 people were detained, who are suspected of involvement in the organization “Hizb ut-Tahrir”, which is banned in Russia. On March 28, three more Crimean Tatar activists were detained and their homes were searched in their absence. On March 27-28, the occupation court arrested all 23 Crimean Tatar activists detained after the searches. They were elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention. On March 22, 2024 Tofik Abdulgaziev was taken in critical condition to the hospital of the specialized tuberculosis hospital \u2116 3 of the State Penitentiary Service of the Federal Penitentiary Service in Chelyabinsk. It is known that earlier his lawyer informed his relatives that Abdulgaziev had lost 15 kilograms of weight and complained of pain in the joints of his arms and legs. In addition, it became difficult for him to clench and unclench his hand fingers, and due to acute pain in his heel he could not step on his foot, so he could not move normally and go for a walk.<\/p><\/div>\n

\nOn April 15, 2024, according to the published document, the main diagnosis of Abdulgaziev was disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis.
