On April 27, a hearing was held to consider a petition for release from custody for health reasons. The Frunzensk court made an expert examination of Amet, he was taken to the hospital, examined and his wife and lawyers, as representatives, were allowed to familiarize themselves with the examination, and they found that his health condition had significantly deteriorated.<\/p>\n

It was evident from the analysis of the development of the disease that his condition had significantly worsened, but the court did not take these arguments into account and left everything unchanged.<\/p>\n

“At the trial there was a speaker, I understood, either a chief medical officer or a representative of the hospital or the court, who said that he was sick, he needed an operation,” – the wife reported.<\/p>\n

A week ago, the wife went to see Amet Suleymanov for a long visit with the permission of the administration with his older sons. According to her, there it was obvious that Amet lost weight: during the conversation he confirmed that his legs were swelling, shortness of breath, felt a significant deterioration in health, also his eyes began to bother him.<\/p>\n

“Here we are sitting with him talking and I see that his eyes start to water sharply. I said, ‘Are you not feeling well?’ He replied, ‘No, I get these things,” – she said.<\/p><\/div>\n

When she arrived home, she reviewed all the diagnoses and examinations in the files and found that the ophthalmologist had already documented this problem.
\nAmet’s family doctor explained that it was an exacerbation of incipient rheumatism complicated by heart problems.<\/p>\n

Defenders, lawyers and Suleymanov himself filed an appeal against the court’s decision.<\/p>\n

Recall that a civil journalist Amet Suleymanov was taken into custody on April 6, 2023.<\/p>\n

On April 26, 2023, all necessary medicines were taken away from him, despite the fact that doctors scheduled him for a heart valve replacement surgery and prescribed all necessary medicines.<\/p>\n
