His work amazes with its depth, emotionality and expressiveness. Girayba<span lang=\"EN-US\">y<\/span>\u00a0was not only an artist of words, but also the voice of his people, who fought for freedom and justice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Amdi Giraybay (real name Abdulafat<span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0Latifov<\/span>) was born exactly 123 years ago, on February 14,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"1901\">1901<\/span>, in Crimea. He devoted his life to the fight for the rights and dignity of the Crimean Tatar people. His poetry reflected the painful realities of occupation and deportation, but at the same time carried a spark of hope and faith in a better future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Unfortunately, his life did not last long. Amdi Giraybay died on September 13,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"1930\">1930<\/span>, when he was only 31 years old. He was shot on charges of nationalism and espionage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Interestingly, in April\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2011\">2011<\/span>, Ukrpos<span lang=\"EN-US\">t<\/span>\u00a0introduced a postal envelope with the image of the outstanding poet Amdi Giraybay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Today we honor his memory and creativity, we remember his words, which became a symbol of strength and devotion. May his poetry always remind us of the importance of fighting for truth and justice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">In\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"1920\">1920<\/span>, in the poem Khosh Keldiniz (\u201cWelcome\u201d), Giraybay wrote:<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Hey, exhausted, disheveled poor people!<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Enslaved Chongar people, Chatyrdag people!<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Awake!
