Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov reported this to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">The court&#8217;s decision concerned Eldar Yakubov, Remzi Nimetulla<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>ev, Ametkhan Umerov, Se<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>damet Mus<span lang=\"EN-US\">t<\/span>afa<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>ev and Ruslan Asanov.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">\u201cThey upheld the decision of the first instance to extend the\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">detention<\/span>\u00a0and did not satisfy the appeals of the defenders\u201d<span lang=\"EN-US\">,-<\/span>\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">He also stated that in their complaints the defense indicated that the Fourth Geneva Convention was applicable to the defendants and that Russia was violating it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">\u201cPeople were kept in cages in violation of the convention. The court in the first instance and the second held its hearings behind closed doors in violation of the principle of publicity. The defendants did not receive copies of our complaints, but the court refused to postpone the hearing in order to provide them with copies and give them time, although the prosecutor agreed with the defense and also considered it impossible to continue the hearing without serving them copies\u201d<span lang=\"EN-US\">,-<\/span>\u00a0the lawyer explained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">In addition, he said that they want to keep all those arrested in custody until April 22.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">We remind you<\/span>\u00a0that on August 24 at four in the morning, Russian security forces broke into the houses of six Crimean Tatars &#8211; Se<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>damet Mustafayev, Eldar Yakubov, Abdulmedzhit Seitumerov, Ruslan Asanov, Ametkhan Umerov and Remzi Nimetulaev.
