Since the occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, disappearances, kidnappings and murders have become a regular practice. According to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center<\/a>, 60 deaths were recorded during the occupation of Crimea, 28 of which were the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.<\/p>\n

This category is divided into:<\/p>\n

Victims of political repressions (4, 3 – Crimean Tatars);<\/p>\n

Victims of discrimination (13, 11 – Crimean Tatars);<\/p>\n

Victims of terror (30, 8 – Crimean Tatars);<\/p>\n

Victims of police abuse (13, 6 – Crimean Tatars).<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the de facto Kremlin-controlled Crimean authorities create only the image of investigating these cases, despite the fact that, in accordance with UN General Assembly Resolution A\/RES\/71\/205, Russia is named an occupying state and is entrusted with responsibility for observing human rights in this area\/ territories.<\/p>\n

CT<\/span>RC employees and experts have repeatedly informed the international community about these flagrant facts of human rights violations at the international platforms of the UN, OSCE, and PACE.<\/p>\n

We condemn the arrests, detentions, kidnappings and murders of people that are used in Crimea as a way of pressure and intimidation of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people and pro-Ukrainian activists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
