The only way to force Russian President Vladimir Putin to back down from his goal is to give Ukraine the means to defeat\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">russians<\/span>\u00a0on the battlefield\u201d<span lang=\"EN-US\">,-<\/span>\u00a0the article notes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Staff explain that Putin will not stop at controlling just five regions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">\u201cOf course, the West could try to put pressure on Ukraine to cede large territories and millions of Ukrainians to Russia in the hope of appeasing Putin, although Kyiv would fiercely and right<span lang=\"EN-US\">fu<\/span>ly resist such a move.
