Everyone will be able to test their knowledge of the real names of geographical names on the peninsula by answering 10 questions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">We remind you<\/span>\u00a0that over the past three centuries the Crimean peninsula has undergone large-scale Russification and Sovietization, which is clearly reflected in the renaming of various geographical names.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">First of all, the Russian government at different times did this in order to destroy the culture, language and history of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine &#8211; the Crimean Tatars, Karaites and Krymchaks, as well as their connection with their native land. Thousands of historical names of settlements and geographical objects were renamed in Crimea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">We decided to tell Ukrainians more about the historical toponyms of Crimea. Join our initiative and take the test using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proprofs.com\/quiz-school\/ugc\/story.php?title=mzg4odaynqhbxj\">the link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">#decolonization_toponymy_of Crimea<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The #LIBERATECRIMEA campaign was presented by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center as part of the\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">Engage<\/span>\u00a0Program, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact in Ukraine.
