Indeed, the formation of a false historiography for Russia has always been an important component of colonial policy, so that the colonized peoples would quickly forget their past and assimilate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">This policy continues today. By deceptive means, the occupiers are trying to enlist the support of people in the occupied Crimea and the newly occupied territories of Ukraine.
