After all, objects with the image of Ornek are used constantly: in the rite of birth of a child, during matchmaking and weddings, housewarmings, home improvement, memorial rituals, and the like. The ornament is also used in embroidery, weaving, pottery, embossing, jewelry, wood carving, glass painting, and wall painting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Ornek consists of various elements of a plant and geometric nature. For example, a rose symbolizes a married woman, a poplar or cypress &#8211; a man, a tulip &#8211; a man or a young man, an almond &#8211; a girl, an image of a carnation &#8211; a sign of an elderly person, a symbol of wisdom, life experience. There are interesting combinations of symbols when, for example, a tulip is depicted inside a rose, which symbolizes the love of a man and a woman or their wedding. Products with the traditional Crimean Tatar Ornek ornament are always the pride of the family; they are carefully stored and passed on by inheritance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">In addition, the symbolism of the depicted floral patterns is emphasized by giving them an unusual color scheme. Shades of pink, green, yellow and blue are often used.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The combination of various elements of ornek creates a composition through which a whole story can be told. Knowledge of the meaning of each element, as well as the ability to read them, is a living phenomenon of Crimean Tatar culture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Ornek and knowledge about it were inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity maintained by UNESCO in\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2021\">2021<\/span>.
