In the cellars, the Chekists tortured up to 50 thousand people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The Red Terror set itself the task of fighting counter-revolution, speculation and malfeasance by isolating class enemies in concentration camps and by physical destruction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Terror was finally legalized as a method of state administration and became the main tool for maintaining Soviet power, and the Russian Federation actually continues this practice today. Unfortunately, this succession is very easy to trace precisely on the example of Ukraine:<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">&#8211; Holodomor\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"19211923\">1921-1923<\/span>,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"19321933\">1932-1933<\/span>,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"19461947\">1946-1947<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">\u2014 Deportation of the Crimean Tatar people in\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"1944\">1944<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">\u2014 Occupation of Crimea and<span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Donbas in\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2014\">2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">&#8211; Full-scale war in Ukraine in\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2022\">2022<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Daily massacres, abductions, torture, forced transfer of thousands of people, including children, from among the civilian population of Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation &#8211; all this is not the past, but the realities of today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">It&#8217;s time to stop this!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exactly 105 years ago, on September 5,\u00a01918, the Bolsheviks issued a decree on the Red Terror, the victims of which were a huge number of people who somehow did not please that system.
