Lawyer Svetlana Popova told Crimean Solidarity about this.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Lil<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>a\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">H<\/span>emedzhi, Mustafayev&#8217;s defense lawyer, filed complaints with the prosecutor&#8217;s office for supervision of correctional facilities in the Tambov region and the regional UFSIN. She learned that the Crimean Tatar was sent to the\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">detention chamber<\/span>\u00a0after he was reprimanded &#8211; the guards even threatened that after the detention center he would end up in the\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">punishment cell<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">Now Mustafayev cannot contact his relatives, and also does not have access to\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">Qu<\/span>ran &#8211; it was selected for verification, although this pre-trial detention center has already checked the literature owned by Mustafayev.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">\u201cThus, I have every reason to assert that Mustafayev is being subjected to illegal mental pressure. There is also pressure due to unreasonable disciplinary sanctions and placements in the\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">detention chamber<\/span>\u201d<span lang=\"EN-US\">,-<\/span>\u00a0writes Server\u2019s defender.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">H<\/span>emedzhi notified the Federal Penitentiary Service and the prosecutor&#8217;s office that the UN Committee on Arbitrary Detention was considering a complaint about the violation of Mustafayev&#8217;s rights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">We remind you that on October 11,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2017\">2017<\/span>, in the city of Bakhchisaray, the occupants carried out mass searches in 6 dwellings of Crimean Tatars &#8211; Marlen Asanov, Se<span lang=\"EN-US\">y<\/span>ran Saliiev, Timur Ibrahimov, Memet Belyalov, Ernes Ametov, Server Zakiryaev. Everyone was detained. They were charged under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation \u201cParticipation in the activities of an organization which, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is recognized as terrorist\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">On May 21,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2018\">2018<\/span>, Russian security forces raided the dwellings of activists of the Crimean Solidarity public association in the occupied Crimea, as a result of which Server Mustafayev and Edem Smailov were detained. They were also accused of their membership in Hizb ut-Tahrir organisation, which is prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">In February\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2019\">2019<\/span>, a criminal case was opened against eight individuals involved in the so-called second Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case &#8211; Marlen Asanov, Se<span lang=\"EN-US\">y<\/span>ran Saliiev, Timur Ibrahimov, Memet Belyalov, Ernes Ametov, Server Zakiryaev, Server Mustafayev and Edem Smailov (Violent seizure of power or violent retention of power).<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">On March 5, it became known that the two defendants in the so-called second Bakhchysarai Hizb ut-Tahrir case &#8211; Timur Ibrahimov and Memet Belyalov &#8211; had their charge tightened from part two of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization) to the part one (organization of the activities of a terrorist organization).<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc3\">On September 16, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict to the defendants in the second Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case. Marlen Asanov was sentenced to 19 years in a strict regime colony, Memet Belyalov &#8211; to 18, Timur Ibrahimov &#8211; to 17, Seyran Saliiev &#8211; to 16, Server Mustafayev &#8211; to 14, Server Zakiryaev and Edem Smailov &#8211; to 13.
