Lenur Khalilov, Ruslan Mesutov, Ruslan Nagaev, Eldar Kant<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>mirov were announced the verdict.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">All defendants in the case received terms from 18 to 12 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The accusation in this case is based on the testimony of hidden witnesses and the conclusions of experts who actively cooperate with the FSB.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Consideration of the case took place with a gross violation of international law. The\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">defendants<\/span>\u00a0were systematically violated in the right to liberty and security of person, the right to a fair trial, the right to a\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">healthcare access<\/span>, the right to respect for private and family life, freedom of thought, conscience and religion, freedom of expression, were subjected to inhuman<span lang=\"EN-US\">e<\/span>\u00a0and degrading\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\">treatment<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The Crimean Tatar Resource Center strongly protests and states that this decision is illegal, politically motivated and criminal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Such a policy of the Russian Federation is a demonstration of the fight against dissent, as well as the religious and political beliefs of people in the occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The Crimean Tatar Resource Center demands the annulment of the sentence of June 10,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2019\">2019<\/span>\u00a0on the defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case and the immediate release of other political prisoners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The Crimean Tatar Resource Center calls on the international community to increase pressure on the Russian Federation to stop political persecution in Crimea, as well as to impose personal sanctions against those responsible for human rights violations in Crimea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exactly 2 years ago, on August 16, the final court session\u00a0in the\u00a0Hizb ut-Tahrir\u00a0case\u00a0was held in the Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don.
