What were they talking about? Andr<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>y spoke about the past in general without any details, because he prefers not to remember it, but they talked for a long time about the current situation and the future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">The fact is that since April\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2023\">2023<\/span>, Zakhtei\u2019s family has not yet received the payments prescribed by law, so the examination that he is currently undergoing was arranged by his acquaintances. But he needs to spend his own funds on medicines, which are not enough, because Andr<span lang=\"EN-US\">iy<\/span>&#8216;s family spent more than 5 thousand US dollars to improve his conditions of stay in a temporary detention facility for foreign citizens in the Rostov region, where he spent 4 months: from February 11 to June 11,\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"2023\">2023<\/span>. This money was lent to the family by acquaintances, but they must be returned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">Also, Andriy has not yet resolved the issue of obtaining a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and now he lives with a passport-book of\u00a0<span data-ukrnet-code=\"1994\">1994<\/span>, in which there is no photo of him when he reaches 45 years old, since at that time he was illegally deprived of liberty by the occupation authorities in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea .<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">But the main problem, first of all, is his health, which has deteriorated greatly over almost 7 years of imprisonment: even a preliminary examination showed the presence of a bunch of diseases that he received in prison as a result of a long stay in damp concrete rooms, lack of medical care and extremely poor nutrition. A separate problem that will have to spend a lot of time and money on is dental services, since during the torture the number of teeth was significantly reduced, and while serving an illegal sentence, their condition worsened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">This is indeed a problem, because, as Zakhtei\u2019s lawyer Volodymyr L<span lang=\"EN-US\">i<\/span>ashenko found out, despite the presence in the Law of Ukraine On the social and legal protection of persons in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, and members of their families is established, there is a provision on medical rehabilitation of political prisoners after their release, the Cabinet of Ministers has not yet developed an appropriate procedure for such rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xfmc2\">What do we do? Let&#8217;s move on gradually! Let&#8217;s start by contacting the structures of the State Migration Service of Ukraine for the production of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
